insurance question
not sure if anyone here would have a clue but here goes....local paper back home had an ad placed by Prudential listing the eldest 5 of 8 siblings of my mothers (her name was listed). It "appears" as if there was a life insurance policy that has gone unclaimed that no one ever knew about. There's no one to call because it's end of business day...does this sound legit or fraudlent?

Legit. They have to make every "reasonable" attempt to contact heirs before the state takes it and liquidates it.

Ditto. It is most likely found money. One piece of advice though, do not give your personal data over the phone (dob, ss#, bank account info. to wire money to, etc.). If it is a scam the people you contact will want all that. Ask Prudential to send you something in the mail to fill out and return to you. Good Luck.
