Unhappy porcupine puffer needs help!

I am a service man and one of my clients has a porcupine puffer that has a somewhat large bubble on it's back close to the rear fins. She said that it is not eating and she has recently moved it to a quarentine tank to treat it. What is the best treatment if any for him? Is this a common problem with porcupines?

thanks much
