![]() I should talk. ![]() The best thing about it is the Rockies beat a team that regularly assembles a stadium full of fans that rally together with a mundane chant of "Beat LA". (boy they sure sucked this year... again) The other good thing about this post season is I won't have to listen to and watch the tomahawk chop. SteveU

Watched the game and wow, a little eventfull at times. I am fairly sure the philly's will beat them, but still have to go for rockies.
My cousin WAS their short stop until the bonehead fell down some stairs and broke his collarbone (left Heltons house with deer meat and told the press it was groceries). Has not yet made it back to where he was, maybe some day...

What does a bear on the pill and the World series have in common? No Cubs. A little boy is walking down the street onoe day and finds a genie jar. He opens it and out comes a genie. Here is the conversation: G: I'll give you three wishes. B: I wish for an XBOX 360, and a PSP and....peace in the middle east. G: Where is the middle east little boy? The boy pull out a map and shows him where the middle east is. G: Uhm, I dont think I can do that little boy. Do you have another wish? B: Well, could you make the Cubs win the World Series? The genie pauses and then says: G: Lemme see that map of the middle east again.

I hate baseball, but any team that plays against any Philadelphia team has my vote, so GO ROCKIES!

Well, my Mariners are home for the season, alas. They could beat any team in the MLB but the Angels this season, and we played the Angels a LOT....sigh. If not for that, they'd have won the west...even while losing a star pitcher for most of the first of the year and losing their manager in July, AND getting caught in that 5-game snow-in that mandated they take EVERY day off they got to 'make up' games [why, oh why, couldn't they just do some double-headers?]....thank goodness for McLaren stepping up as coach, and they didn't do a bad job at all! Next year, next year we get those guys!

Small rant: I hate it when people chime in on how they find baseball boring or otherwise un-entertaining when the thread is about baseball's entertainment or the original poster's interest. You offer nothing legitimate to the conversation. Find someone else's parade to rain on, please. Small rant over.
That was an INCREDIBLE game. The Rockies totally deserve a spot in the postseason. They also took Game 1 from the Phils... wow. Surprise Cinderella team if you ask me. I didn't think they had the pitching to win two important games. I'll be watching those guys with deep interest. And whoever mentioned the not having to hear the Braves' chop and chant, AMEN.
