Update...Put on some window tint on the back glass..

What i used...5% limo tint from walmart

Gonna get started on the canopy, but gotta deal with classes and work. So things are going slow.
Doors will probably be later, thinking of doing glass doors with a wood frame since almost everyone does just wood doors. Something a little different

Got my lights today, finished up laquering the canopy and doors, some more pics...
from this

to this..

Everything together finally, not in its final spot though

Color is pretty close to real life color, still need to add my pc actinics to the canopy, still on the 46g so that'll probably be later on. These lights are incredibly bright. 216w t5 compared to my 192w pcs blow the pcs out of the water. There really is no comparison actually, i get nauseous even just staring right at the bulbs for a while. Probably not the best idea.
Bulb layout (front to back):
ati aquablue
ati sun pro
(actinic pcs, not shown in pics)
(actinic pcs, not shown in pics)
giesmann actinic +
ati aqua blue

Hopefully i can get a lot more done tomorrow, Canes game though against fiu . Any comments/suggestions/ideas post em up, it'll help me out. Thanx for looking

Looking good so far. I have the same tank. Great job on the stand and canopy I took the easy way out and bought one. Why use the pc actinics? Am I right you are only running 4 t5's? I'm no lighting expert but that doesn't sound like enough if you plan in sps.. I don't think the pc's will help. Poor penetration. What are you using for a sump / fuge / return pump / skimmer ect?

thanx for the comments
rkelman, yep its only 4x54w t5s. But i'm using individual SLR reflectors which are suppose to penetrate the water pretty well. I have seen tanks in the t5 only thread that has SPS with a few bulb setup and are doing great. Forgot who but he has a 4x54w setup over his 75g and his corals look great. So i figured since the 90 is only taller than the 75 i would be able to place the corals midway to the top and they should be fine, sps that is. Pc actinics are mainly for color supplmentation, i like the purplish look these lights bring out.

Sump will be a 29 gallon i picked up yesterday, fuge will hold a dsb and cheatomorpha, and for the return pump i'm gonna stick with my Ocean Runner 2500, and the skimmer will be my sucky coralife superskimmer 65 for a little bit till a couple paychecks later so I can get my Octo NW-200.
