Test Kits
Hi, Can you tell me which test kits are the most reliable please.
I have done tests with 4 different test kits at once and got different results with all of them. Has anyone else done similar tests? How do we know which test kits are truly reliable? How long is the life of a test kit once opened? I used A/pharmaceuticals, Salifert, Tetra and Seachem. Thanks Chris. |

[welcome]
Generally, I think that most common test kits from Hach, Salifert., LaMotte and Seachem are reasonably accurate. The lifetime of kits varies. Alkalinity kits last a long time. Others may not last as long. It also depend son how they are packaged. Hach packages the reagents in individual foil packs, lasting a lot longer than a bottle that I opened each time.

Thankyou for the reply. It's hard for customers to know which is the best when all the kits give different readings. Thanks again for you help and I shall hang around for a while now.
Kindest regards Chris.
