DI Resin Canister

Hey... anyone found a good use for used clear plastic DI resin canisters? I can't see throwing them away.

put DI resin in them! I actually am not sure if you can refill the ones we get regularly but you would be well served to check on buckeye field supply or airwaterice web sites to buy refillable ones and bulk resin - this is WAY cheaper than the 30 bucks or so for each DI prefilled chamber

I don't pay anything close to that. More like $5 per canister.

where are you getting DI resin canisters that cheap? I agree that is a great price! (maybe mine are more because they are color change?)

as part of a set of replacement filters on ebay. They might not be that cheap, but its about $35 for two sets of replacement filters (carbon, sediment, etc), including DI (color change type).

oh - that makes more sense - then it seems like it is about the same price I am paying (maybe ten bucks or so for the DI as that is by far the most expensive part) - is it from some bigger supply co. or from an individual?

E-A-G-L-E-S I am not sure exactly what you mean - I have been using buckeye field supply as it is the cheapest place I coud find reputable DI resin and carbon filters - the prefilter is cheaper though at marine depot

I guess that one problem is that you are forced to buy all three at one time and you obviously do not go through all three canisters at the same rate

Eagles:

I'm not using it, because it is extra. It was cheaper to buy set with 3 carbon filters and a sediment filter. I don't go through them that fast since I only have a 55. I went about 8 months with this set, although I should have changed at 6. I'm learning not to rely on the color change.

I'm a Michigan fan and grad and the only thing we did right this year was eke out a win against a great PSU team - Joe has done a great job - congrats
