Sequels for both should never have been made.

OK, I have to tell a funny joke. This is about the wax on/wax off line. The guys at my husband's work were teasing me telling me to go out and wax our boat. I said that I am not allowed near the boat with the Makita buffer as I would take off chunks of the side. I then said "I am wax on, hubby wax off"

He didn't hear the end of that for a week. I didn't get it for about 5 minutes. I left after I did.

I call them about equal. They both had awesome first showings, and the sequals went downhill from there.

Once I found out Mr. Miyagi didn't really have an accent, I went into a deep state of depression for years, really feeling lost in the world.

So I guess back to the future.

Back to the Future is FAR superior to Karate Kid. And I even like the sequels - but Karate Kid should have NEVER had a sequel.

Take that Ralph Machismo! I Voted against your silly series!

I voted for Back to the Future series. Though both are pretty stupid series in retrospect, at least they had fun making all the BttF movies work together.

Definitely Back to the Future.

It's obviously the more inventive and comedic movie. The Karate Kid had it's moments - but rewatching it now is painful. Back to the Future is watchable...

Very good point that I didn't consider before.

It's become a lot more work that originally expected.

Labor of love....

Karate Kid folks are doing the yappen, but the back to the futures are doing the voting.

The Karate Kids were just so campy. It's almost as lame as the original Star Trek episodes.
