Applesauce anyone?

got a big pot cookin' on the stove now. Apple pie and apple/rhubarb pie are next on the list. Ahhh....gotta love living near a 10,000+ tree orchard during fall time.

Pies, I'm in - and you will have some homemade icecream to go with the pie wouldn't you.

Applesauce - not so much.

But I could use a sammich and a beer.

That would be because you've never had MY applesauce. A little brown sugar, cinnamon, touch of nutmeg....my kitchen smells WONDERFUL!

Would the applesauce get sucked up by that triangle thing you've got going on there Jeffrey.

And Em - I'm not demanding like Jeffrey is - I'm flexible for lunch time.

You can bring the sammich, applesauce and my beer anytime between noon and 1:00 PM. 1:30 os OK if you get caught up in traffic or something.

You cook applesauce? I never knew that! (Of course I've never known anybody to make applesauce either) I'll take some HOT applepie with some ice cream. Don't let the rhubarb touch it, I don't eat stuff that looks like burdock.

How is apple butter made?

The lil town I grew up,my mom would buy a bunch of apple butter during the fall. It was rationed out thru the year.

I haven't found any apple butter that comes close to the stuff my mom would buy. It was homemade and sold at a fund raiser for our catholic church.
