Moved to the equipment forum for more views.

I'd probably look at a Euro-Reef, but there are lots of skimmers on the market.

ATi Bubblemaster 160 is currently on the top of my list. Other high performance skimmers for your tank size, is mini Bubbleking, H&S, Deltec, and EuroReef for needlewheel type skimmers.

How much are you looking to spend?

You can get a DAS ex-1 for under $300. Its a good performing skimmer but it also big.

Even the best hang on skimmers really don't work as well as the in sump skimmers. Don't rush into your decision, do a lot more research.

yeah if you have a sump get an in-sump unit or an external recirculating skimmer. I would go with a DAS ex-1 on a 72 myself.
