Bleach works on most stains, if not rinse well and use 1/2 strength muratic acid-pool store. Rinse well whatever you use.

How about some good old elbow grease, you slacker

I would use vinegar or muriatic acid if it is bad.

check, vinegar will work just fine. I run vinegar 50x1 to clean my skimmer and pump and it works great. Publix sells white vinegar 1ga jugs for about $2.50 you can soak or spray on just like markandkristen suggested.

Then again I agree with Ah64av8tor: How about some good old elbow grease, you slacker

I used vinegar and water in my water mixing garbage can to remove all the deposits in there. Let it sit for about a day and it was all gone.
