Frag algae question

Help-? about algea and two sps frags (I also posted in sps forum)
Hi,
Thanks in advance..

I have a 3 month old system, water chemistry fine, had some slight diatoms and algea issues. 400w 20k, 40 gallon set-up w/ dltec skimmer and ~1200 gph movement. 50lbs. tonga

Three weeks ago added two feature corals-Sarcophyton(lower corner) and Pocillopora(up high)...look incredible, very healthy

Now onto the two frags-Hydnophora(on top), bright green, but it looks like I have, like, torn some of the skin in handling, glueing ect and some algae has set in. It looks fine except for these spots. It is in an area where I cannot frag.

The other frag, Seriatopora, looks good, starting to grow, pink, also on top, but has two small spots of brownish algea on it. Also tough to frag out. Its on top too.

Both are in decent water movement, but not heavy.

What will happen to these two? Will these algea spots go away or are the frags eveventually doomed?

that tank is too new, you are adding sensitive species too soon, and we have no idea about the conditions of your tank except your word that the water quality is fine. Haard to say what is going on with the fragnments at this point. sorry

Thanks.....

I will let the tank mature...I added some some superglue that dabbed on the one annoying entrenched spot of dark algae on the BNest. A filling per say. It's showing nice pink growth, so I guess that's a plus. The other sps, Hydnophora, looks the same or better. Tough to mount and I think my handling caused the two small tears that show some algae. I'll tlc and see what happens. Nice bright green color with small wavy polyps. (hairy)

The pocillopora (w/a happy little goby inside) and sarcophyton look great.

BTW if this was Eric.....enjoyed your book
