How big, how fast??

I can't believe that this Rose BTA has already outgown my tank. I bought this at Reef and Pond in March and it was a tiny 3" animal. He is now expanding to over 6" and is taking over any real estate I have in my tank.

How fast do these guys grow? Can I expect a mild slowdown so it will only grow to the tank size it is allowed or will it continue to grow, and grow, and grow.

My clown loves it, but I have had to move everything in its path.

He might be available real soon. As much as I would hate to get rid of him, I like the rest of the tank too much to give it all to the RBTA.

Do they stop growing at some point? Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Bob

How much do you feed him? I dont feed mine a whole lot on purpose for that very reason.

Brandon,

I don't really feed him anything, I fed him some Silversides when I first got him but nothing after that. Whenever I feed the tank mysis shrimp he seems to pig it down but not much else. He has probably tripled in size since I got him. He is definatly outgrowing the tank very fast. Are there any anenome that stay on the small side?? My clown loves him and I would hate to get rid of him , but I might not have a choice in the very near future.

Bob

I don't know if this helps, but marine animals in general do not "grow to the size of the tank" like freshwater stuff does. Unless of course he gets sick because he is crowded and poluted...

Hey Bob,
I really like the overall appearance of your tank.
Nice job!
