Replacing DSB question
I am having my house fumigated for termites Feb. 9. I need to tear down my tank...Ugh! Since the tank is down I will be changing some things around. I will be replaceing my DSB with
a NSDSB(Not so deep sandbed). I plan on using the top 1" of my existing sandbed to seed the new one. My tank will be down for only 3-4 days. What should I do with this "live"sand to keep all the good stuff alive until I set my tank back up? Someone said put it all in a ziplock bag with some water. Will that work? There are a bunch of worms in there. Can they sufficate? Thanks for any help! Brian

Re: Replacing DSB question
Put the sand you want to keep in either a smaller tank or a rubbermaid container with enough water to use a small powerhead and a heater. Everything will die in a sealed plastic bag in 3-4 days.
