Growing Coralline

I would like to know the different methods everyone uses to promote healthy coralline growth in their tanks to cover not only the rocks but the glass as well.

Specifically what additives you use, lighting techniques, etc.

I want to figure out many differnt methods so I can see what works the fastest when starting a new tank wothout adding corralline form a previous tank.

I use B-Ionic, and nearly nightly I can see growth after adding (I don't supplement daily). What are your light conditions?

I don't really do anything, I have 250 m/h for lighting.
Mine took about a year to cover the rock and back wall.
I keep it off the sides but it seems like it will just EXPLODE from time to time and I have to clean the sides twice a week? ohters maybe once a month? Coraline likes ca. and alk. but keeping thaose in order will be plenty enough.

I know this is not the answer you were looking for (sorry) but its a start,
I'm sure someone will follow with their ideas.

Your calcium, alk, and mag levels have to be at the correct levels. I use Seachems 2 part because it has mag with the calcium. One of the most purple tanks I've seen was created by Red Sea's 2 part. It has mag and trace elements in the calcium mix.

I agree with acrodave....time I don't do anything special for coraline just normal maintenance, I clean the sides and back once a week to keep it from covering them or it would for sure.

Keep water quality high.Good flow.Regular water changes.Keep testing.water source. Amount of stock and there feeding. Its best not to try and speed the coraline growth any. Seeing its growth shows your on the right track and your keeping water quality high.A sign you may know what your doing.
After time you will not want it to grow so fast.
