I hate Super Skimmer 220

Just thought I would share how much I hate this skimmer... I either have to skim extremely dry.. or if I set it to skim slightly wet like I want to, it acts up and overfills the cup and puts it back into my tank..

any ideas why it always does this during the night? very little change in temp.. maybe PH?

Just drives me nuts.

If you feed frozen foods before you go to bed it will go out of wack for about 10 minutes then return to normal.

Yup mine over fills too, but when its running well it skims well. I have to take my off the tank and poke wire through the air holes, one on the water out spout and one on water in. Usually works good for a good while after that. When it starts to get really bad I have to soak it in vinegar.

Nope I don't feed anytime near when it does this, and yes I clean those same inlet/outlet holes..

I just find myself looking and saying that looks perfect what it skimmed today.. at this point I should empty it!!! because every time I don't I come in the next morning to it over the top.

oh and DaveOcean, I've been running it for about a year, I actually just added my AquaC remora I had for my 24g to try and help skim, but it has no such issue, it just skims away. (but kinda small for this system)
