Unhappy Pics_need help quick

Hey all.. I got a used 90G and some kind of trickle filter with it... now I am trying to convert the filter into an all in one sump/fuge. I drew it out on the Paint program...

Basically

The water from the tank goes down the overflow and flows through the first level of the filter ( there is a cottony-spongy filter material). Then the water flows through floss -which I removed and planned on putting LR, and then to the bottom of the sump where it is then sucked up by the return pump. (The baffle seperating the unit in 2 has a hole in it where the floss used to be)

I am planning on adding a baffle right after the drip to make a section for a fuge and add another baffle before the return pump. Can you all take a look at the pic and tell me if you would do ne thing differently... THe question mark ?? means I dont know what to put there.. ( I was thinking maybe some more LR and some LS) thanks

The area where you have your live rock is too high and willnot be underwater. You simply replaces the bio-ball, or other media, with live rock, and forgot the bio-balls are not submerged, but your rock needs to be.

You are probably better off buying a 30 gallon tank and plcing it under your stand, as it will give you a lot more water volume, and more space to store overflow water if the power ever goes out.

Hope I helped a bit,

pops

what about a skimmer..

i agree with Fishypapas about the 30 gallon .. thats what i have

that is a pictured of jsut the sump .. i took the area below the drip plate and put 20lbs of live sand down there with a few rocks and some plants .. my little fuge .. so the water runs onto the plate .. into the fuge .. then goes over to the pump side which has the return pump and the skimmer

there is a light on there 24/7 now too

I too was thinking of scrapping the box, but right now I dont have the money to buy a tank (using all my money for skimmer, hehe)

shouldnt the skimmer have the water run through it first before the fuge?? Should the fuge be the last part before the return pump?
