wat you think?
Well, its almost christmas and my sister was saying she'll get me a pair of clown as a present. What kind of clowns should i get? Ive had a 20 gallon with no sand and about 5 lbs of LR. Its only going to be FOWLR and no anemone. Just maybe a clean up crew and a few snails.
Ive got a penguin bio filter 350, a 100 watt heater on. The tank is still cycling. Which would you guess vote one. Heres a list of clown that im thinking of. Pair of maroons pair of clarkii pair of ocellaris pair of true percula Pair of skunk Pair of tomato Im leaning towards to a pair of maroons. And my second option is a pair of skunks pink maybe. But give me comments, lectures, and anything else about which to get. Thanks |

Maroon females get pretty large, I would stick with the ocellaris, percs, and skunks in a 20gallon.

Thats wat ive been thinking. I might just go for a pair of percs or a pair of skunks. Its just kind of hard to find a pair of percs around here, and its snowing so i dont wanna order any.

I really like the percs. I think they would do just fine in the 20 I wish I was getting something great for my tank for christmas

IME, skunk clowns just don't seem as comfortable without an anemone. That's just my opinion.
For me, there is nothing nicer than a mature pair of nicely colored ocellaris. They don't care much whether or not they have an anemone, the babies are relatively easy to raise and sell if you ever decide to go that way and they tend to be healthier than percs.

Ive had a pair of ocellaris once before. They were really nice fish. But they never host in an anemone i bought them. Had them for about 4 years and then they died cause i was on a vacation away. At my LFS ive seens some pink skunks in condy anemone. So would it be ok to get a condy anemone for the pink skunk if i get them. Then ill be using 130 watt of pc on my tank if i decide to add an anemone.
