for my corals, i use coral frenzy, cylopeeze, dt eggs, liquidlife coral plankton... i switch off every time to give variety... not sure what is the best for growth... but i think variety might be best? as long as they have food they should grow... i think speed might be equally dependent on water parameters and light...

also just wanted to mention, corals need different sizes? i think in general lps like bigger pieces and sps like smaller pieces... you never mentioned what corals you wanted or have...
i think lps can almost be fed small pieces of meat? and sps need somethign on the size of plankton... i was also told that if you have only a few sps, feeding fish and having a small amount of fish will already give you alot of feeding already? |

For mixed reefs, you will be best to use mixed food of different sizes. The best situation would be to know exactly what all of your corals eat and to provide that food directly via frequent small target feedings. This way would provide the most nutrition to your corals and cause the least impact on water quality. Seeing as how both of the aforementioned situations tend to be impractical, your best bet is to strike a nice balance. I don't target feed most of my corals (except for my tubastrea colony and dendrophyllia). Instead, I use a medical dosing pump to deliver food slowly over the course of the day.
I feed a mixture of the following: -Reef Chili -Coral Frenzy -Golden Pearls (various sizes) -Marine snow (good for my soft corals) -Selcon (added to the mixture)

Rods food is excellent. Feeds fish and corals at the same time. Includes nutritional supplementation.
