PM Bullet-2 questions

I recently changed my setup and I'm now powering my B2 with a Sen-900. After doing some searching it seems that it's definately underpowered. It isn't skimming well at all.

My first question: Is there an adequate submersible pump that you could recommend as I'm unable to drill holes in my sump right now.

2) The skimmers I see on PM's web site show a different injector assembly. The new one is shorter and clear instead of the taller, dark grey one I have now. Is the new one better enough that I should look into getting one?

Thanks for your time,

Gene

I use a mag 18 myself and it works well.
Not sure what you mean by the grey injector so I'm
not sure if it's better or worse.

Gene-
You can use a "better" submersibile pumps, one that drives alot of water will usually work. Mag 18 or higher should be sufficient, althou you will see a performance increase when you use a pressure rated pump. Nevertheless, you should find sufficent aeration using one of the larger mags pumps.
Next you asked about the grey bullet containment chamber (BCC) versus the new clear ones.
The newer clear BCC is the better of the two, in that it allows easy and quick disassembly of the BCC to remove and clean the beckett head. Mike at PM made the clear BCC in response to people complaining they saw less and less performance after a few months of service, so cleaning was essential to restore this performance. So I highly recommend the clear BCC as well as a monthly or at least every 6 week cleaning and dissasembly of the beckett, you'd be amazed at what kind of junk gets stuck in there
Hope this helps

Would a quiet one 6000 (1500 gph @ 0 head, 1150 @ 4' head.. 12' max head) work well with the Bullet 2 in a in sump set up.

I also have a mak40 (1150 gph max head 22') The gph should be about the same at 4' of head

I have read that the Beckett produces about 4' of head and that is why a pressure pump would work better.

I have both of those pumps but submersible is obviously easier to set up then the external... Would I have same results from either of those pumps?
