They will eat most anything, but make sure at least 1/2 of their diet is algae.
I've done the "Pepsi Challenge" with Julian Sprungs algae sheets & Ocean Nutrition's brown algae all on the same clip.
They attacked the Julian Sprungs purple algae like there was no tomorrow. They actually move the others away to get to the purple! Next went the Ocean Nutrition's brown algae then followed by the Julian Sprungs green sheets.
They don't care for the Julian Sprung's red (whole leaf) very much and only nibble at it at best.
