large tank workmanship vs pricing !!
OK so I'm looking to purchase a 700 gallon tank.. 3 sided Starphire and 1 side 'regular' glass... so I've gotten quotes which range from 6000.00 to 13000.00 (CAD)...
the $6K tank I've seen the workmanship and it looks pretty good... seams are seemlingly tight... built in-shop and delivered... but the $13k is (made by Perfecto) built "in-house".. literally in my house... is there really such a difference between craftmanship that justifies this price?? it's over 2x...!!?! and of course that does NOT include the stand.... (both prices don't)
BUT what about the U.S........ LivingColor.... or Oceanic... the tanks are even greater in price... !!!
Is the price really justified?? Please tell me what you think..... It's a HUGE commitment... because.... it's forever... no regrets.. no turning back.. no holds bar...
Do you see or know the difference? Any and all opinions are welcome.........
BTW I'm settled on glass so NO acrylic.. too big to scratch... thanks
