I have a pair that I'm not currently using. I was bleaching a bit and decided to go with xm20k's. Since the xm20's are tried and true to work, I don't want to try the ebay ones until my caps recover. I did plug them in and check though. They appear brighter than the xm20's and maybe at a slightly lower kelvin, maybe 15-16,000k. My xm10's were on magnetic ballasts as well and those come out about 11,000k on the test website. I'll try them out better after the caps recover in case the corals start to suffer from lack of a broad enough spectral output then I'll know it was the bulbs. The color of the greatdel 20,000K bulbs are pretty nice though if they have decent output. Even if they are 6 month bulbs, 20 bucks a year is a huge savings.
