FWIW... Ochtodes is a Rhodophyte (red algae), and the color varies depending on the depth in the ocean it was collected (or the intensity of light in captivity under which it was grown). An uncommon but lovely macroalgae indeed (not to be confused either with the similar looking but dreadfully invasive/nuisance Hypnea)
