Yay, it works now. It overflowed for a little bit, then I keep twisting the cap, and the water slowed down. Then it stayed inside the skimmer body. I guess the way to reduce the water is allowing it to escape out of the slit. Thanks for your help. Saved me from waiting to monday to talk to the company.
