Judging from the photos and tanks hots I've seen the following short list of genera are pretty easy to keep in the red macroalgae: Gracilaria, Halymenia, Acanthophora, Rhodymenia, Botryocladia, Grateloupia, Scinaia.

If GCE's sampler includes a few of these it would be worth a shot to try in your tank. Shipping from FL to SC should be just fine, macro's seem to do better in cooler temperatures than warm.
