that method is fine...but if you really want to return the unit to new you need to get at the small holes that extend into the tube that draws water passed the needle wheel.
The added air from the air pump also keeps the verturi valve running strong.
If you cut the flow and add the air pump, the reaction chamber will look like a mini deltec.
