There's definitely a hint of blue with just the T5's. Your question made me fire up the MH's for the first time with water and rock to see what it looks like. It looks to me like there's a bit of a yellowish tint to the tank with the MH's. The bulbs and ballasts are new - only minutes on them. Not sure if that color will change with time or not. Plus the tank is still cloudy from adding the rock - so maybe the color will change in time. I don't know... But maybe it just SEEMED yellow since I've been looking at blue all day.
Maybe this weekend I'll flip-flop the bulbs front>back and see what that does visually.
