I have a TF-300 that works great with the original venturis (and a very large pump), it is T'ed from a return pump running a pressure filter at ~20psi, on a 400gallon fish only system. Not quite the same as most home aquariums. I have seen some run off the little giant external pumps and those worked well too. Though I think that having a higher pressure pump would help alot.

I had tried using a MAG7 but it doesn't seem to produce very good bubbles even from a single venturi, I think it is mostly due to the low pressure pump.
