I had to make the decision recently. I went with DE myself primarily because I don't have the cash for good reflectors and the "comes with the package" DE reflector looked better than the standard SE spider reflector. Who knows if this is the case. Also the Phoenix 14k is a really nice bulb from what I can tell blue look, good par and only in DE.
