Virtually all wrasses - do NOT bring them home unless they've got some weight on them and nice round bellies. Fairy wrasses are especially fragile when newly imported.

You can expect them to play dead for awhile (though their eyes will be moving around watching everything in the tank) or dive straight into the sand when introduced into your tank. This is just part of their survival strategy, try not to worry too much. Provided you selected a healthy fish, you should start to see them again after a day or two. Most will start eating prettymuch as soon as they're swimming in the open.
