Hello,

I had a Longhorn Cowfish in my reef (not my current one) for several years. Remember that while they start out small, they get fairly good sized.
My Cowfish was over a foot long when full grown (but half of that was tail).

In my experience with my Cowfish, he picked at LPS and softies. He left mushrooms and SPS alone. Throw a sponge in there and he would attack it like a starving man at a buffet. -)

I think that you really need at minimum a 90 gallon tank or larger with low to medium flow. Cowfish in my opinion are fish to be wary of in a reef. Some may pick at corals, others may not.

With all of that being said, my Cowfish used to eat out of my hand and was by far my favorite fish that I ever owned.
