Kalk top off input location

I am about to install my Nilsen reactor with the kalk being added as my top off. Here is my question/concern. Knowing that kalk has an pH of 12, and has the calcium and carbonate content it does, I am skeptical of where to actually have it feed. My standard freshwater top off has historically pushed into my sump. However, I have many pump and/or probes (pH controller, etc) which are located here. I do not want the addition to give false readings or prematurely calcify the impeller. I am considering having it feed into the overflow to mix, prior to even enter the sump. Good idea? Bad? What should I do?

BTW, I also run a calcium reactor, but just want a pH and calcium boost, hence the kalk reactor.
