It's H. exesa. Look at the skeleton & pattern that the 'rows' of polyp grow in. I've never seen a Pavona like that, in aquarium, or on reef. Similar, yes. But, it is H. exesa, no doubt.

The shrimp / fish combo was still there this afternoon. Has been there for at least 2 weeks now (it's up the street from my office, so I stop in once or twice a week) and looks good.

Don't know if cheaper, but I buy all my filters from Filter Guys (I have a spectrapure unit). I also change everything (filters, not membrane) ~ 6 or 7 months by default. Membrane is still running...
