I agree with BSB, it sounds like a connecting rod bearing. If so you should be able to disconnect the sparkplug wires (one at a time) to isolate the problem cylinder.

I have been on the high side of the ph scale for the past several weeks (8.6ish) I had purchased a new ph probe and calibrated it during this concern and its still reading the same....
