Dialing the Ca reactor

Could someone please point me to some articles on dialing in (adjusting) the Ca reactor so that it does not affect pH much?
Perhaps there are some calculators that allow to determine that?

I was moving a live-rock and underneath there was a huge bristle worm. I got all the spikes in my hand after touching it. It's been 3 days and the skin looks worse. I'm getting some 'bubbles'...
