I'd skip the skimmer, the UV, and the sump. I don't use any of them on my 30G and have five maximas in there that are happy as clams :)

I've been pleasantly surprised: I have four maximas that I got between 3 - 4 months ago....all of them have been growing -- not only do they look bigger, I can see the 'new' part of their shells...

--totally agree....Tunze is overkill if you're going LPS.
