I added 2 clowns 3 weeks ago. 1 mysteriously dissappeared 3 days after adding them to my tank. I waited this long to see if the last clown would vanish, die and also let my tanks bio-load...

Maybe you have traces of copper? It's quite possible that the water your fish came with had copper (due to ick treatment), and if you poured that water into your tank...voila, copper traces. Crabs...

I concur with Yellowtang. And like David said, every MH bulb covers a 2 foot diameter. After you do the math, you'll see that you need 3 bulbs. HTH.

Vinegar is the recommended solvent for cleaning your equipment. But I believe it is also to thoroughly rinse with fresh water before use. HTH.
