That is why they are not that much more expense than the normal recirculating skimmers. Should only be $15 more or so...

Will work just as well as using acrylic sheets. I don't know if polycarb will absorb more water or less though. One thing about polycarb it is more flexible than acrylic so it will bow a lot more...
