I jet mine out with the hose then I let It dry...
I jet mine out with the hose then I let It dry out in the sun. I keep 2 socks on hand so when Its time to change them I have one ready to go.

I had the same issue not to long ago with 2 stalks, funny thing was all other corals stayed perfectly healthy and showed no signs of stress.

I broke 1 shaft trying to adjust the angle, emailed Hydor and the only questions they ask was where to send the 2 extra replacement shafts, FREE OF CHARGE!! Thats Customer Service.

Tagging along, by the looks of your skimmer If the water level Is high enough you might be able to raise the skimmer up another 1 or 2 inches and get the output to drain into anouther filter sock....
