i am a little concerned about the sand shifting...

i am a little concerned about the sand shifting star because i only about 6-9 inches of sand then the lr starts. how big do the stars get?

a good sand shifter...

what is a good sand shifter for a sps tank? i don't want something that is going to go up on the rocks.

i was thinking a blue linkia(sp) starfish but i'm not sure.

i have an anthias that does the same thing. swims against the current for about 5 min then jumps out of the way. does this all day long. the other fish are starting to do the same. including my 2...

that is why i got the Aquarium Coral book. this book has good information to help narrow down the ID a little. It also has chapters on care for your corals.

do a search for "thegrimreefer". he has done some testing on light readings with a par meter. the T5 actually had better readings than MH lights. BUT MH lights are pinpoint light source T5's are not....

also use an Icecap 660 & overdrive them to 80w each. the T5s are definately brighter w/ more punch than VHO's. i had to move a lot of my softies around & even gave a few away cuz they were starting...
