AHsupply has 13W T4 PC, Home Depot has replacement bulbs for workshop lights, 13W too, 7100K. Cheap.

Smallest should be 7W (and 9W next) - from aquarium store, but it should be more expensive.

I would rather use gravel/sand washer attachment to a hose (with wide part, where water "tornado" separates detritus from heavier sand. Cleaned sand drops to the bottom, detritus is siphoned out).

I didn't had this problem. If the kit is new and wasn't frozen in the mail, you may ask at their website, what to do - they may send you replacement reagent. Or here, if they are in Sponsors area.
