Wouldnt the fuge be a better place for the detritus to go though? Especially if you have a DSB and critters in there that can eat the detrious?
I would think it would build up in piles in the sump...

I mainly just check my salinity weekly.. Ph MAYBE...
I mainly just check my salinity weekly.. Ph MAYBE every other week... Calcium and ALK monthly. I have dosers set up to add the Caclium, ALK, and topoff water to it normally stays pretty regular.

No you dont need the Calcium Reactor yet.. and probally not until you have a large amount of stoney corals growing.
Could be the slightly low PH, could be the nitrates... they could be starving.
