If the tank has been up and running for 6yr like in your profile, then it should be stable at this point... RO/DI, reef test kit so you can test for Ca, and Phosphate. If you are not already doing so.

You can, but at a much reduced pressure... I have a Mag 7 using 1/2" PVC out of the sump to a threaded ball valve, then Out of the ball valve I have a 1/2 PLASTIC barb fitting going to 5/8 ID hose...

Think I found the problem.... I checked my salinity.... It was at 1.026 and it normally is kept at 1.023 to 1.024... I added some water to bring it back down... I guess time will tell?
