IMO I think 4 T-5 bulbs on a tank that size is probably lacking (BTW that old ratio that people used in the past "watts per gallon" isn't really an effective way to measure if you have enough light)....

Actually I thought it looked like a vermetid snail. They use a web like secretion to catch food. For the most part I think they are harmless, but they can spread fast.
