I'd recommend a U tube style overflow over a CPR. People have problems with those, and that's why people use aqualifters. Just skip the bs and get a U tube. Check out Lifereef for a good one.

Well you'll know when they start looking bad. They won't look like they do know. They'll be closed up and shriveled and you might see tissue recession around the base exposing more of the skeleton....

Really hard to guess. Some rock is denser than others. I'd guess about 45-60 pounds maybe. But I could be way off. HTH
