If that undulated is alone in that tank, he's going to be hard-pressed to let anyone else in there.

As for a wrasse, a sensible choice would be the lunar due to it's speed and activity level....

Mathias - I'm pretty sure this is dust from the live sand. I didn't rinse it at all, in fear of destroying any of the bacteria that comes along with it (I know it would have been a minimal loss, I...

Well, I made a mess when adding my live sand. And it's pretty much been like that since. It was Caribsea Arag-Alive Bahamas oolite. I also have some of that white film (calcium?) precipitate on the...

Currently the live rock I have is curing in a seperate container. I opted to go for just the live sand and some damsels for the cycle. I know about the suffering those guys can go through during this...

Exclamation Red Sea Max - Sediment or microbubbles?

I'd like some opinions:

I started my RSM on 12/19/07. I am obviously still cycling, but basically the tank consists of 4 damsels, 60 lbs of live sand, RO/DI w/buffer, an Instant Ocean/Oceanic...

Pmolan - I'm guessing when the solenoid is on, the water level is below the sensor (but set at the float valve level). So it goes off when the water gets to a certain point (i.e. float valve fails,...

brickbreaker33 - are you asking if the red leggeds are safe to be in a reef tank? Then yes, 100% safe. Some may be a tad larger than some would like and can cause some small corals to be displaced,...

Robby - for those blue leggedds to "strip your rock surgically clean," I would imagine you'd need quite a large number of them.

I've heard 1 crab per gallon of volume in the tank. I'd imagine it...

I forgot to mention I have a powerhead (some pond pump I found in the stock room that is around 350 GPH) in the tub with the live rock.

Also, bump. :)

Ambient sunlight?

I'm just curious as to if afternoon (12-3) sunlight would matter much for a crocea, maybe even derasa. It's not direct sunlight, nor is it very bright through the shades, but I noticed on one end it...
