I have 2 K4s in my 60g. Had to tweak their angling and placement to get good tank coverage without kicking up the sand.
I've had them for 3 months without any problems.

I don't know much about Haitian's, I know that most LTAs prefer sand over rock. If that's the case with the Haitian, I'd place it in the sand and away from any powerheads.
