Well I have used 5 calculators now, 2 have said 76 gallons, and 3 have said 99 gallons. But the higher 3 didn't account for glass thickness

Oh 3 inches wide will def fit, as long as the lebow doesn't stick it out too far. I probably only have 3-4 inches between the wall and back of my tank.
