Lookin at my post, I should edit, There isn't cyano in the tank, only in the sump. The flow created by the powerhead got rid of the dead spot in my tank that allowed the cyano to grow.

My cyano outbreak showed up at about 3 months too. I pointed a powerhead at the spot and it went away...until I put a light in my sump for the chaeto. Now my sump has cyano but it hasn't spread back...
