if you wanna do a reef then do it and just keep...
if you wanna do a reef then do it and just keep it with a few tangs and maybe a grouper but no shrimp, crabs etc and put in a few corals with a very efficient skimmer and away you go

if it was like mushrooms then i would say pick em...
if it was like mushrooms then i would say pick em out and put em in the new tank cos theyre hardy as hell, same with zoos in my experience.
